CREATING AN ANTHEM FOR REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS
Women’s bodies were at the heart of the 2024 US election. Millions were angry, but there was no unifying rallying cry. My agency, Tall Poppy, created one: Martha Wainwright’s iconic Bloody Mother Fucking Assholes, a song written about her abusive father with lyrics that hauntingly echoed the fight for reproductive rights.
MILLIONS WATCHED, SHARED AND JOINED THE FIGHT FOR FREEDOM
The result was an anthem watched and shared by literally millions in a few days before the election. Reproductive rights didn’t win the national battle — but many individual states voted and won reproductive autonomy for countless women.
