WE REUNITED LGBTQ FAMILIES FOR PRIDE MONTH WITH A PHONE CALL
No rainbow logos. We wanted our Pride work with Verizon to mean something. So we focused on one of the hardest parts of coming out — when family stops picking up the phone. We helped LGBTQ+ people reconnect with parents who had pushed them away, turning a simple call into a chance to start again. The stories reached thousands of families and inspired more of them to reunite.
“We were so proud of the work we did.. a moment that will inspire others to do the same”
– Diego Scotti, Verizon Chief Marketing Officer

THE WORK INSPIRED A WAVE OF RECONCILIATION
The social video morphed into a primetime commercial and then morphed again into countless editorials and interviews with the members of our film — including Oprah Magazine. Verizon social channels were flooded with appreciation and stories of families inspired to reconcile after seeing the film.

HANDLING EVERY STEP WITH CARE AND RESPECT
We worked with PFLAG — the organization dedicated to allyship — to ensure those on both sides of the call were given the support and advice they needed to reconcile.
